How to Create/Edit Links on a Page
- Once inside your WordPress dashboard, look for the “Pages” tab on the top left sidebar menu.

- Click on the drop down arrow on the right side of that tab then click on the “Edit” tab from the drop down.

- A complete list of all your pages will appear, select the one that you want to edit.
- On that page, first make sure that the “Visual” tab is selected on the top of the content box. If you wish to add a link to completely new content, write out the text first. Highlight the word or words that you want to create a link for. Then click on the “Link” icon that is highlighted in red, where the formatting tools are located.

- A box will pop up allowing you to enter the information for your link. Write down the destination URL where it says “Link URL.” Entering the other information within the box is not necessary, but you can do so if you like. Then click on the “Insert” tab and the highlighted text will become a link.

- If all you want to do is edit the URL of your link, do the same as above to open up the link information box, change the link URL and click “Insert.”
- In order to remove a link, simply move your cursor to the link and click anywhere on the text. Then click on the “Broken Link” tab highlighted in red and that link will automatically return to being just plain text.
